This policy explains how Samson Plumbing & Heating (“we”, “us”), based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, handles personal information. We are the data controller for the information you give us through this website.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form, call or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you need and anything else you tell us about the job.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, quote for work, carry out and invoice that work, and keep records we are required to keep (including gas safety records). Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, our legitimate interest in running the business, and legal obligation for safety and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where needed: our email provider, and on managed projects any other trade coordinated on your behalf, so they can carry out their part of the work. We may share information with regulators or insurers where legally required.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed work, invoices and gas safety documentation are kept for as long as the law and our insurance require, normally six years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where consent applies.
